(The fearless captains)
This summer I took a break from posting, not because I did not feel like it, but because the good 'ol desk top is
SLOWLY retiring itself. It takes way to long to load the blog, let alone publish a post.
A few weeks ago, David broke down and bought a lap top and I can once again be a happy blogger.
Our first adventure this summer was houseboating in Lake Shasta with the family. I took Bella out of school the last week of school and we head north with my Dad, Tina, Marcus, Tyler and Tylers friend Vincent. We met up with Sister, Curt, Trever, Brady, Papa Jack, Aunt Deb, Ed, Aunt Lori, Jeremy Shelby, and Brody.
We went the begining of June and it was cold. We actually had one day of just rain and were stuck in the houseboat the whole day. Luckily, we love eachother and spenidng time together means lots of laughing, game playing and singing.
We were lucky to have a cove all to ourselves and spent most days swimming, going down the slide, fishing off the house boat or pantoon boat and eating way more then we should. Why is it, when we plan for a camping trip, we forget how we eat on a normal week and pack enough food for the month?
We celebrated 3 birthday's, 2 high school graduates and 3 8th grade graduates. Decorating a house boat and preparing cakes for a surprise party on a houseboat was interesting, but we pulled it off.
We saw eagles, fish jumping, a mama deer and her babies. The kids were actually able to get fairly close to the deer and discovered that Shasta deer like BBQ chips.
