Isabella FINALLY got to go to the beach. Yep after 5 1/2 years she was able to feel the sand beneath her toes. David, Bella and I went with some friends to Huntington Beach on June 19th. The weather was nice at first and there were not too many people at the beach.
Being the diva she is, Bella was so excited to wear her bikini. Of course she wanted everyone to sing Itsy-Bitsy Teeny-Weeny Blue poke-a-dot bikini to her. She so cute running around, telling everyone to see her belly and not to laugh.
She had a blast running from the water. I remember those days as a child, think the ocean was chasing you and was going to jump out and get you.
Of course sometimes it would and that was even better! Listening to her laugh was probably the high light of the evening. Her smile did not leave her face at all that night.
Unfortunately, we did not get to see the sunset. A thick fog rolled in quickly and made us all scramble for our sweat shirts. It did give us the perfect reason to stop chasing the water and start eating smores. Bella thought it was fun to catch the marshmallows on fire.
At the end of the night we had to go back down to the water one more time. The fog was so thick that we could not see the waves but we could hear them. This was the last picture I was able to take before the fog got thick. Al the later pictures are just splotchy fog.David and I both had forgotten how much fires on the beach are and have decided we will be doing this as much as possible this summer.
