Our summer is coming to an end
With school starting tomorrow, our summer is coming to an end. We had such a fun time this summer and are sad to see it end, but excited for the fall to begin. This summer we enjoyed time with the family at the beach, countless BBQ and swim parties, concerts in the park, farmers markets, movies, and the friends and family reunion.
And lets not forget one of the best moments: the birth of Sophia to our dear friends the Froges. She is the first baby in our group of friends since Bella. It's so nice not to be the only parents in the group any longer.
Although the summer was busy with my school and David teaching, we still had such a good time. This evening we officially bid summer farewell with a BBQ and swimming at Greg's house this evening. Bella is tuck in tight and sleeping after picking out what she will wear tomorrow for her first day of Kindergarten. Yep, that's right! My little baby is starting Kindergarten. I can not believe how fast she has grown. She is very excited and a little nervous. She said she will be shy the first day because she will not know any kids, but I know she will do fine.
It's funny how the thought of school for all of us, homework and extra curricular activities make me feel like life will finally settle down. It's amazing how the lazy dog days of summer seem hectic compared to the structure, jammed packed schedule of the school year. *Sigh* I love this time of year!!
