Happy Belated Valentines Day

I hope everyone had a nice day. We sure did. David and I had a double date with our friends Steve and Sarah. We went to see The Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages Theater. I was magnificent. This was the second time we had seen it and were even more impressed this time.

After the show we went to visited a few restaurants for drinks before going to Citizen Smiths for dinner. Let me say this was the first and last time we will be visiting this establishment! First, the waitress seems very confused and then explains that she doesn't even know the valentines day menu. We let it slide..no biggie. Then she disappeared for the longest time, which turned out to be a rather normal occurrence. I will say the macaroni & cheese and the baby arugula salad were to die for. The rest of the food was overly salted and our fancy dessert was strawberry jello with cool whip. When all was said and done, we paid and started to leave. We were out side the restaurant when the waitress came running out saying she under charged us by $200 and that she needed to recharge us. She was correct on that and we paid the difference without tip.

All in all the night was wonderful and we had a blast but if we are going to pay$200+ per couple for dinner we want service to match. The good part was we had a fun time with friends, saw a great musical, had an OK dinner and found 2 other restaurants that we want to try. We will be back in the area on March 8 to see Rent and now have some choices for dinner.
