Outside my window...It is dark as I am typing this at 9:39pm

I am thinking...I should be in bed but am enjoying the "alone" time while everyone is in bed.

I am thankful...Warm fleece blankets

In the kitchen...Not much today. Bella and I had a girls day out so we had lunch at Corner Bakery and dinner at Kara's Korner.

I am wearing...Yoga pants, T-shirt and cardigan

I am creating...Cross-stitch blanket with a fleece backing. Bella and I picked up supplies today for some Valentines Day decorations.

I am going...To my first quilting class on Wednesday. I am very excited.

I am wondering...When our puppy will stop chewing EVERYTHING.

I am reading...Touched by Angels by Debbie Macomber.

I am hoping...To finish purging all the clothes closets and drawers by the end of the week.

I am looking forward to...Sunday's football games and spending time with friends again.

I am learning...To live with a Toy Yorkie puppy....they are small but destructive.

Around the house...Everyone is asleep, including above mentioned puppy. Avatar is playing on TV. I think I am the last person to see this movie.

I am pondering...Maybe because it is late, but nothing right now.

I am thinking...I've really been too lazy today.

I am thankful...Cooler weather. I don't do so well in the heat.

In the kitchen...Nothing today. We have a pizza party for Bella's soccer team tonight.

I am wearing...Jeans, blue top.

I am creating...a cross-stitched baby blanket for a friend...still.....

I am going...to pick up the munchkin from school and take SIL to pick up her truck, pizza party & then a Girl Scout Leader Meeting.

I am wondering...why I have less energy on my day's off then day's when I work.

I am reading...Learning by Karen Kingsbury...still

I am hoping...to have my upstairs cleaned & organized by the weekend.

I am looking forward to...the weekend. We have plans w/both family & friends.

I am hearing...My cat outside, Ghost Whisperer on the T.V.

Around the house...All is quiet

I am pondering...whether I should chalk this day up to being lost on the deep cleaning front or not...

One of my favorite things...Ammonia. I know..weird, but I recently discovered the wonders it works on the kitchen floor.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Work, Girl Scout field trip, soccer games, dinner w/friends and family.

I am thinking...I should go to bed but WILL NOT miss Sons of Anarchy

I am thankful...so many things: my daughter, David, my job

In the kitchen...Nothing today. Bella and I had a Girl Scout field trip immediately after school so it was McDonald's on the way home.

I am wearing...jeans and a black and white checkered top

I am creating...a blanket for a friends baby (still)

I am going...just to work the rest of the week.

I am wondering...how I am going to get everything done that I need to this week while working split shifts.

I am reading...Learning by Karen Kingsbury

I am hoping...I can finish the blanket and a scarf by the weekend.

I am looking forward to...the weekend...can't give details & spill the beans

I am hearing...Sons of Anarchy

Around the house...Everyone is sleeping, I still need to finishes dishes and laundry

I am pondering...why some "parents" have tantrums worse then their children

One of my favorite things...coffee after late nights like these

A few plans for the rest of the week: works split shifts, make a cake, volunteer in @Bella's school, volunteer @the soccer ref tent, go to Bella's game.

FOR TODAY SEPT 13, 2011

Outside my window...it is sunny with light blue skies and white whispy clouds.

I am thinking...How lovely it is to still have the TV off and we are all home. This not normal but oh-so-wonderful.

I am thankful...my extended family. The 10 months have taught me how much we need eachother and not only love eachother but actually like eachother.

From the learning rooms...I do not home school, but I do try to supplement Bella's homework. Today will be working on math flash cards.

In the kitchen...nothing tonight. David has Open House at the high school, so Bella and I will have a hodge/podge night. Meaning, what ever we fell like it.

I am wearing...Jeans and a light blue blouse.

I am creating...a cross-stitch blanket for a friends baby.

I am going...Nowhere tonight. YAY...no meetings, no practice, no work, no nada...aahhhh.

I am wondering...if I will ever have my house organized the way I envision it.

I am reading...Learning by Karen Kingsbury. It is book #2 in the Bailey Flannigan series.

I am hoping...to finish a large portion of the blanket tonight while I relax watching Sons of Anarchy.

I am looking forward to...LMC Training tomorrow. I am excited to be able to volunteer at Bella school Library and Learning center this year. The last 2 years her class had library time early in the morning while I was at work.

I am hearing...Bella reading Junie B. Jones and the Sneeky Peeky Spy. This will be the first time she starts a chapter book and finishes it.

Around the house...All is quiet, David is geting ready to head to class to meet this years parents, Bella is reading and I am typing.

I am pondering...why, sometimes, I just can't keep my mouth shut.

One of my favorite things...when Bella comes home from school excited about something she learned. Today she told us the stroy of Mulan. Her class just read The Ballad of Mulan and her homeowrk was based on the story. She also informed us that the Great Wall of China is visible from space which "is totally awesome".

A few plans for the rest of the week: LMC training, Bella's back to school night, working split shifts, soccer games this weekend and volunteering at the ref tent.

I am thinking...I need to complete more activities to earn more weight watchers points for the week. lol

I am thankful for...so much: my family, my job, Bella’s teacher, coffee

I am wearing...blue jeans, grey Disney Princess T-shirts and socks.

I am remembering...my last trip to Oregon. Bella and I were going through the pictures last night.

I am going...to be cleaning ALL day. My house needs it badly.

I am currently reading...The Help by Kathryn Stockett. I am about ¼ of the way in I love it so far.

I am hoping...to start s cross-stitch blanket that I have been needing to start for the last month.

On my mind...taxes----ugh---

Noticing that...my cat gets crazier as he gets older.

In the kitchen...healthier version of Banana Nut muffins and Lemon cake

FOR TODAY...Sept. 30, 2010

Outside my window... Blue skies w/clouds.

I am thinking...How much I really don't like the heat.

I am thankful for...My home. I am blessed to be able to have job that affords me a home to come to at the end of a long day.

From the kitchen...Nothing at the moment. We need a serious Costco run today.

I am wearing...White capri pants, pink pansy print top.

I am creating...A pink and white scarf for Bella. The girls at work are teaching me to crochet and I am working on my second scarf.

I am going...To clean the kitchen & rehang my clothes, now that my closet is fixed. Thank you Dad!

I am reading...Malice by Danielle Steel. I know it's not on my Fall Into Reading list, but I thought I would be done with it by now.

I am hoping...To finish my scarf & my cross-stitch Tinkerbell blanket this week, so I can start some holiday projects.

I am hearing...The traffic on Rte 66

Around the house...I have SO much to clean. Working 40+ hours and having all of Bella's activities is really hurting the house work. Oh well...I just remind myself that she won't remember how many times I mopped but she will remember I was there for her activities.

One of my favorite things...ice cold Pepsi on a hot day.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Work, work, work, take Bella to girl scouts, gymnastics and soccer. Go to soccer game on Saturday and try not to fry in the sun.

Outside my window...It is BRIGHT. SoCali finally got rid of the marine layer and it is VERY sunny and HOT!

I am thinking...Should I turn on the stove & make dinner as planned or go to the farmers market?

I am thankful for...My job that allows me to share my opinions on processes and protocols and admin actually listens.

From the kitchen...nothing at this very moment. Possibly Parmesan crusted new potatoes and zucchini.

I am wearing...Jeans and pink blouse.

I am creating...my cross-stitch Christmas ornaments. I will finish the cross-stitch tonight & then I only have to sew the backs & ribbon hangers to them.

I am going...Maybe farms market or to the sofa to watch a movie while I stitch.

I am reading...Still Emma by Jane Austen. I only read on my break at work so it is taking me a little longer then normal.

I am hoping...to buy my plane tickets tonight to see my family.

I am hearing...Patsy Cline's Sweet Dreams on Pandora Radio & Isabella watching Avatar: The Last Air-bender in her room.

Around the house...Bella is watching cartoons and Patches is stretch out, about as far as he can, on the floor by me.

One of my favorite things...Farmers markets. I may have posted this before but I will say it again...I love fresh produce/cheese/meat/etc. I love how red the tomatoes are in the summer and how sweet the corn is. I actually get very excited shopping for food when I find a beautiful piece of produce.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Eye appointments for Bella and I, work this weekend *BOO*, Bob comes home on Sunday *YEAH!*

Outside my window...The sun is starting to set and the sky is blue.

I am thinking...I love that the sun stays up so long in the summer

I am thankful for...the extra hours I have been able to get at work the last few weeks.

From the kitchen...nothing right now.

I am wearing...white capri pants and a black top.

I am creating...cross-stitch Christmas ornaments. I used finish the last of the cross-stitch tonight & be ready to sew the backs on and then I will start another set.

I am going...to pick up Bella from her Aunts once I get the phone call that they are ready.

I am reading...Emma by Jane Austen. Why I waited so long to read Austen is beyond me. The character Emma cracks me up.

I am hoping...to have the new place put together and fully organized by this weekend so that by Saturday all we have to do is celebrate David's birthday.

I am hearing...kids playing outside, birds chirping and the computer humming. I should click on Pandora and get some tunes going.

Around the house...I have dishes to wash and floors to mop.

One of my favorite things...Pandora Radio. Why it took me so long to discover this site I also do not know. I am totally hooked. My station is just as hodge-podge and weird as I am. I have everything from Muse to Tim McGraw to Johnny Lang to Micheal Buble and I LOVE IT!!

FOR TODAY April 27, 2010

Outside my window...it is gloomy and I love it! We are expecting rain late tonight.

I am thinking...about how much I need to get done on my day off today.

I am thankful for...Adan is on his way home, safely and for coffee and flavored creamer. I know it seems trivial, but this morning it is making me very happy.

From the kitchen...right at this moment nothing, but in a few hours and few batches of banana and zucchini bread.

I am wearing...my new favorite Levi's (thank you David), black tank and turquoise cardigan.

I am creating...cross-stitched Christmas ornaments. It is a set of four patch work style design. There is a Santa, stocking, wreath and angel.
I am going...to Bella's playoff game tonight. This game will decide if we take 3rd or continue on to play for 1st or 2nd.

I am reading...nothing. I just finished The Irish Country Doctor and am getting ready to start Twilight.

I am hoping...to be able to go camping for Mothers Day with my Dad, Tina, Bella and Tina's family.

I am hearing...Air1 online. Right now "Walk on Water" by Britt Nicole is playing.
Around the house...the rooms are quiet but begging for TLC.

One of my favorite things...homemade chocolate chip cookies. Bella and I made a batch on Sunday.

A few plans for the rest of the week: organizing, school work, and adding more mile to my walking.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...it is of the crowd at Dodger Stadium on Saturday night for Joel Osteen's Night of Hope. It was amazing to have so many people together praising and worshiping the Lord.

I am thankful for...My job & family. I know too many people who have lost their jobs in the last week & couples who have decided to separate

From the kitchen...homemade tostada's w/chicken & homemade tomato noodle soup.

I am wearing...Capri work-out pants and a t-shirt

I am creating...Bella's Christmas present - it is an adorable Care Bear cross-stitch blanket

I am going...to Disneyland tomorrow to celebrate Bella's 7th birthday

I am reading...Knit Two by Kate Jacobs

I am hoping...to have all the Christmas decorations up before Christmas Eve

I am hearing...the shower running & the 49's on Monday Night Football (& winning *gasp*)

Around the house...it's a mess. I have storage boxes everywhere - REALLY need to finish decorating

One of my favorite things...champurrado. I made it last night for the family. It is a warm, thick, hot coco style drink. I will post the recipe later.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Disneyland tomorrow, Bella's school Christmas party on Wednesday, Bella's school book exchange on Thursday and a Christmas party on Sat. Fun times!

Outside my window... A warm sunny day in the low 80's.

I am thinking... how much laundry I have to do.

I am thankful for...David & Bella. They truly make life wonderful and are such a blessing

I am wearing...my Wonder Women (Yep, I admit it) PJ Pants and a long black top.

I am remembering... that I left the negatives to an awesome photo in the enlarger at school on Thursday. I am praying that some one found them & put them in the Lost Negatives box.

I am going... to be going to bed soon....

I am reading...Nothing right now except Physiology text

I am hoping... to get caught up on all my house work tomorrow before school.

On my mind...The Holiday's and how we are going to handle each side of the family this year. I have a feeling there are going to be some big changes that not everyone will be happy with.

From the learning rooms...Trying to stay focus on my last month of classes.

Noticing that...we have a lot of stuff to sort through before we starting packing to move.

Pondering these words...Home, sweet home....I'm ready to go home again.

From the kitchen...David made diced steak w/onions, garlic & tomatoes to go with my beans and tortilla's. We had oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies for dessert.

Around the house...already ready for the weekend and it's only Monday.

One of my favorite things...family days - yesterday we went to brunch at El Torrito, watch the new A Christmas Carol and then went to Golden Spoons for dessert.

I am thankful for...besides the above; that the Lord loves me for me, for my family, for A/C, for the Internet which allows me to stay in touch with many friends.

I am wearing...Jeans, light weight black V-neck sweater

I am remembering...Saturday night & how the experience touched me. (See Union Mission post earlier today)

I am going...to be get ready to take Bella to gymnastics and to the laundry room.

From my picture journal...these are not my grand kids. It is my daughter and nephews, but I love how this picture turned out. It was from over the summer when we went to OR and visited Camp 18 on our way to the coast. We are ready to go back.
